Post Mail

Uganda Airlines' Post or Cargo Mail product is tailor-made to cater for the uplift of Post Office mail which includes postal items as defined by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) convention. This product is offered to postal administrations and mail agents only and is an airport to airport service.

  • Late cut-off times for acceptance: 2 hours prior to STD.
  • Expedited delivery: 1 hour after actual arrival time.
  • Specialized handling: Specialized handling for all shipments.
  • Dedicated teams: Sales, handling, and customs teams dedicated to this service.
  • Advance reservations: Not required for shipments below 500kg.
  • Maximum shipment size: As per agreed allocation.*
  • Maximum weight per mail bag: 30kg and 31.5kg per loose parcel.*
  • Availability: Available to all Uganda Airlines destinations.*

Dimensions should be as specified by the UPU/IATA standards, i.e., they may not exceed 1 meter in any one dimension. The following shipments will not be accepted as mail consignments:

  • Valuable Cargo
  • Dangerous Goods
  • Live Animals
  • Human Remains
  • Perishables
  • Vulnerable Cargo

Advance reservation required only for shipments above 500kg.
